The Friends of the Defiance Public Library is a support
organization whose purpose is to provide fund raising,
service to the community, and service to the library.
The goals of the Friends are to:
• Promote Library services
• Support and safeguard adequate income for the library
• Help with special projects for the library
• Encourage donations, gifts, and bequests that will
  enhance the Library's resources.  

• Friends Projects and Events:
  • Art in the Park is held annually on the Fort Grounds
       featuring music, food, activities, and many works
       of art and crafts.
  • The Friends of the Library Book sale is a semi-
       annual event that offers many used books for
       sale to the public.
  • Friends sponsor several programs throughout the
       year for the public featuring local and regional speakers.
  
  Membership Information:
  The FRIENDS hold an annual membership drive each
  year, new members are welcome any time during
  the year.
  Membership categories include:
        $10.00 General Membership
        $12.00 Family Membership
        $25.00 Contributing Membership
      $100.00 Life Member
      Over $100.00 Carnegie Fellow.  Membership
      applications are available at the Defiance Public Library.
