In order to make the Defiance Public Library more accessible and
inviting to all area residents, we added a new Homebound 
program in 1999.  Those people who find it difficult to visit the 
library will be able to enroll in the program, request material and it 
will be delivered to them and returned to the library.  Members of 
the Friends of the Library will volunteer their time to serve as 
couriers for the library.  Of course, there will be no charge to the 
patrons who avail themselves of this new service.
