Defiance Public Library card holders can download the free hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device or visit hoopladigital.com  to begin enjoying thousands of titles – from major Hollywood studios, record companies, and publishers – available to borrow for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets, and computers.

hoopla digital has a simple sign-up and attractive, easy-to-use site, so it’s easy to get to your listening and viewing experience. There’s also no waiting to borrow popular movies, TV shows, albums, or audiobooks.  Plus, hoopla digital’s automatic return feature eliminates late fees.

To access the system on your mobile device, you will need to visit hoopladigital.com or download the FREE hoopla digital app from the App Store on your Android or IOS device. Simply ‘Sign Up’ to get started. There is no need to download an app or extension for your internet browser. 

Instructions to Start Your Hoopla Account:

1. Go to hoopladigital.com.
2. Click on "Log In" button in upper right hand corner.
3. Look for "New to Hoopla?".  Click "Sign Up Now".
4. Choose Defiance Public Library System as your library.
5. Fill in the account information  to complete your account set up.

* Your library card must be fine free to use this service.

Enjoy eBooks, audiobooks, music, and videos on your computer, phone, or tablet. The Ohio Digital Library provides access to thousands of titles, all for free with your library card.

2. Click on "Create New Account" in upper right hand corner.
3. Enter your library card number.
3. Fill in the required information. Click "Create Account" button.
