Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is a support
organization whose purpose is to provide fund raising,
service to the community, and service to the library.
The goals of the Friends are to:
- Promote Library services
- Help with special projects for the library

Encourage donations, gifts, and bequests that will enhance the Library's resources.
Friends Projects and Events:
- Friends of the Library sponsor used book sales in all locations of dpls. Please contact your local library for upcoming dates or visit our Calendar page.
- Friends sponsor several programs throughout the year foopen to the public featuring local and regional speakers.
Membership Information:
New Friends members are welcome any time during the year. For more information or to become a member pick up an application at any library location or contact one of the organizations below:

Friends of the Hicksville Library

The Friends of the Johnson Memorial Branch Library work very well with the community and the library staff to aid, implement and continue programs at the Hicksville Library.
Membership categories include:

Friends of the Sherwood Library

The Friends of the Sherwood Branch Library welcome persons of all ages who desire to support the Sherwood Branch Library's needs in programming, services, and materials. Meetings are held the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Sherwood Branch Library with special programs as well as the Friends' business meetings which are designed to carry out the goals and activities of the Friends' group.
Membership categories include:
$5.00 Individual Booster/Active Member
$10.00 Family Booster/Active Members
$20.00 or above Supporter
Renewals conducted each year in February, but new members are welcome at anytime.
