Check Out/Renewal Procedures
Borrowing Materials:
- must present a current library card
- loan period for most items is 2 weeks
Returning Materials:
- Items may be returned to any library location
- Return to the Circulation Desk when library is open
- Return to the outside book returns when library is closed
Renewing Materials:
Items, unless on hold for another patrons, may be renewed up to 2 times by
- telephone
- in person
- on-line
Directions for renewing materials online
On-line renewal can be accomplished by going to the online catalog Click Here.
1. Click on My Account
2. Click Renew My Materials
3. Enter your library card number (found on the back of your card; do not include spaces) and PIN
4. Click List Charged Items
5. Select items to be renewed
6. Click the Renew Button
DPLS does not allow renewals if the item has been renewed twice, if there are fines on the item, or if someone has placed a hold on the item. If you are having trouble renewing an item, please call any of our libraries for further help.
