Guidelines for submitting a genealogy question:

  1. Please be specific about the people and places you are researching when writing to library staff. *Please note, our collection only contains information about Defiance County in Ohio.
  2. Include exact dates and locations when possible (or at least approximate dates and locations).
  3. Please do not post an excessively general query such as, “Send me everything you have on the Graham family.”
  4. Please keep in mind that library staff are limited to 20 minutes of research time per request.
  5. We can send up to five photocopies to your home mailing address at no charge.
  6. Do not send money for copies, unless instructed to do so.
