About the Sherwood StoryWalk® at Little Reservation Station:

StoryWalk® is a fun and innovative way for people of all ages to exercise their bodies, as well as their minds. As you take your walk, you will come to posts which contain 2-page spreads of a picture book. By the time you have come full-circle, you will have read a book in its entirety.
StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed with the help of Rachel Senechal of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalks® have been installed in 50 states and 11 countries including, Germany, Canada, England, Bermuda, Russia, Malaysia, and Pakistan. Thanks to the Village of Sherwood and our sponsors, the Sherwood Branch Library has been able to bring StoryWalk® to Sherwood’s Little Reservation Station Park, 405 N. Harrison St.
Share your StoryWalk® experience with us on social media using #dplslibraries and #SherwoodStoryWalk!
“Hello, ocean, my old best friend.” Relive a day at the beach with this lovely book of memories. You can almost feel the salt spray on your face and smell the musky scent of ocean in the cool morning air. Remember how the sand squishes between your toes as the tide rushes to shore and taste the tang of the ocean on your lips. HELLO OCEAN is a joy-filled and playful poem about the draw of the shore and the effect the ocean has on all five senses.
