Didn’t like how your favorite book ended? Rewrite it! Have theories about a character? We want to hear them!

Teens (grades 6-12) can submit a fan fiction short story reimagining a character or section of a book in our Teen Fan Fiction Writing Contest. Entries can be submitted at any DPLS location (Defiance Public, Sherwood Branch, or Johnson Memorial/Hicksville libraries) or via email to prellstab@defiancelibrary.org between Nov. 1-30 at 5 p.m. Writings must be between 1,000 and 3,000 words in length, and rated P-13. Have fun!

Winner will be notified by phone no later than Dec. 8, and the winning entry will be shared in the DPLS newsletter, on social media, & in booklet form at Defiance Public Library.
