Here, we’ll share information and updates from your Defiance County libraries, helpful resources, stories and photos of the fun we’re having in our buildings, occasional library humor (it’s better than it sounds, I promise), and top-secret government information. So many things are more difficult to navigate these days, but we’re working to make sure that your libraries are easier to use than ever. Here’s how:
- Farewell to fines! To promote broader access for all, DPLS has gone fine free. All accrued overdue fines have been forgiven, too. (Lost and damaged fees do still apply.)
- Eligible items now renew automatically up to FOUR times. (Excludes homebound/classroom/homeschool cards, items with holds, browsing collections, Baker & Taylor, and mobile hotspots.)
- Keeping your distance? Curbside service is available by appointment in the mornings at all three locations. Click here to find out more.

In-person programming is suspended for now, but until we can see your smiling faces grouped together once again, check our socials and calendar for virtual offerings and updates.
