Readers’ Circle Book Club for adults meets at 10 AM on the second Thursday of the month at Defiance Public Library in the Nellie Gary Reading Room. The group meets at 6:00 PM on the second Thursday of every month at Defiance Public Library. Gail Rutherford leads the group in a lively discussion of the month’s pick. Hooked on Books book club for adults meets at 10:30 AM every 3rd Tuesday of the month at Johnson Memorial Library in Hicksville. Â Book club members take turns selecting the monthly title and leading the group discussion. From thrillers, to memoirs, to historical fantasy, the selections cover many different genres to appeal to an audience of varied tastes. Refreshments are provided courtesy of the Hicksville Friends of the Library.

It’s Happy Hour for introverts! Teens and adults are invited to Defiance Public Library from 6:00-7:00 PM on the second Monday of the month for Silent Book Club. No required reading, no forced discussion, just reading separately…together! Bring your own reading materials, or choose something from our shelves.
