Readers’ Circle meets at 10 AM on the second Thursday of the month at Defiance Public Library in the Nellie Gary Reading Room. Are you into police procedurals? Gritty detective stories? Or maybe a nice, cozy mystery is more your speed. Mysteries + More book club explores all types of mystery novels. The group meets at 6:00 PM on the second Thursday of every month at Defiance Public Library. Gail Rutherford leads the group in a lively discussion of the month’s pick. Pride and No Prejudice is a patron-led LGBTQIA+-friendly book club for adults 18+, seeking representation, diversity, and inclusion in the written word. The club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM at Defiance Public Library (in the Reading Room or outdoors, depending on weather). Follow us on Facebook! The Bookworms meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month for informal discussion about a wide range of genres. Sponsored and organized by the Friends of the Sherwood Branch Library, this group meets at 3 PM in the Justin F. Coressel Community Room, adjacent to Sherwood Branch Library.

Hooked on Books meets at 10:30 AM every 3rd Tuesday of the month at Johnson Memorial Library in Hicksville.  Book club members take turns selecting the monthly title and leading the group discussion. From thrillers, to memoirs, to historical fantasy, the selections cover many different genres to appeal to an audience of varied tastes. Refreshments are provided courtesy of the Hicksville Friends of the Library.
