Are you into police procedurals? Gritty detective stories? Or maybe a nice, cozy mystery is more your speed. Mysteries + More book club explores all types of mystery novels. The group meets at 6:00 PM on the second Thursday of every month (location for Sept.-Nov. 2021 to be determined.)  Gail Rutherford leads the group in a lively discussion of the month’s pick. The Bookworms meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month for informal discussion about a wide range of genres. Sponsored and organized by the Friends of the Sherwood Branch Library, this group meets at 1:30 PM in the Justin F. Coressel Community Room, adjacent to Sherwood Branch Library.

Note: This club is on hiatus through 2021. 

Pride & No Prejudice is an LGBTQIA+-friendly book club, meeting on the third Thursday of each month beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the lounge at St. John United Church of Christ, 950 Webster St., Defiance. Anyone 16+ is welcome to join the group, which seeks diversity, inclusion, and representation in the written word.

Hooked on Books meets at 5:30 PM every 3rd Tuesday of the month at Johnson Memorial Library in Hicksville.  Book club members take turns selecting the monthly title and leading the group discussion. From thrillers, to memoirs, to historical fantasy, the selections cover many different genres to appeal to an audience of varied tastes. Refreshments are provided courtesy of the Hicksville Friends of the Library.
