When it comes to charity for pets, no job is too big, no pup is too small. Join us at the Sherwood Branch Library on Tuesday, July 9th from 1:00-2:00PM in making cut-and-tie fleece blankets for pets in need. We will also be accepting donations of food, supplies, and toys for the pets. All blankets and donations will be given to the Fort Defiance Humane Society. Geared to school-aged children.

Grades 6-12 are invited to submit an original short story (1,000-3,000 words) via email to [email protected], or by dropping off the story at any DPLS location (Defiance Public, Sherwood Branch, or Johnson Memorial libraries). Stories must be rated PG-13 and under.
The winner will receive the Twilight book series, and copies of their winning submission will be distributed in the DPLS libraries, and in the YA Squeeze newsletter.
