DD Awareness & Story Sharing

The Defiance County Board of Developmental Disabilities (DCBDD) will visit Defiance Public Library on April 9 at 10:30 a.m. (in the Nellie Gary Reading Room) to share one of their favorite books, “Just Ask! Be Different. Be Brave. Be You” by Sonia Sotomayor. This story explores the fact that feeling different, especially as a kid, can be tough. However, just as many types of plants and flowers make a garden more beautiful, different types of people make our world more vibrant and wonderful too! Geared to ages 0-6. No registration is needed.

A member of the DCBDD team will introduce themselves, read the story aloud, then offer information about the services offered by the Board of DD & Early Intervention Program.
