In honor of the 230th anniversary of the construction of Fort Defiance and the 230th anniversary of the Battle of Fallen Timbers, a Living History Encampment will take place June 29 from 9AM-5PM and June 30 from 9AM-4:30PM at Pontiac Park in Defiance.

Situated on the bank of the Maumee River and overlooking the Auglaize, this living history event will explore Defiance’s early years (from the 1770s through the end of the War of 1812).

The living history encampment is presented by Taylor Moyer of Fort to Port Histories and held in conjunction with Art in the Park & RiverFest. It is free & open to all ages, and sponsored by the Friends of Defiance Public Library.
