Event Details

Wendy Baker from the Defiance Soil and Water Conservation District will stop by the Summer Reading Tent at Defiance Public Library on June 25 at 4:30 PM to present Adventure with Maps! This free family event is open to all ages; no registration is needed.

Have you ever studied a map to find your way or learn about a place you’ve never been? Maps are a great tool to help us explore and learn about the community and world we live in! Following maps helps us to understand directions, distance, and looking for landmarks to reach a destination. We will hear a story about a mapmaker, then have fun using some “treasure maps” and even make a map of our own.
