Event Details

Wendy Baker, education and outreach coordinator with Defiance Soil and Water Conservation District, will visit the Summer Reading Tent at Defiance Public Library on June 6 at 10:30AM to present “Navigating the Night Sky: Discovering Constellations.” Geared to grades K-6. No registration needed!

Let’s explore these celestial connect-the-dots that have inspired astronomers, storytellers, and night sky enthusiasts for centuries. We’ll look at how both humans and wildlife have used these landmarks of space to navigate far distances and use our imaginations to find the animals, people, creatures, and objects the constellations represent. You will make your own planetarium to take home some constellations you may view day or night!
